Good speech

As a card-carrying Delaware fanboy, I was excited to see Biden give his acceptance speech last night even though he didn’t receive my vote. I do not agree with all of his policies but I am glad to see him starting his presidency with a conciliatory, forward-looking tone.

One thing well

My wife and I agreed that the shower walls had to be finished this weekend so that we could have our second bathroom fully functioning. I woke up this morning aware that this was the One Thing that had to be accomplished today, I figured out what was needed to accomplish it, and other than waiting until tomorrow to finish grouting the newest section of tile, it got finished. There is a feeling of satisfaction from completing a manual task that is sorely lacking from teaching. The work is never finished, and when it is, the results are so often indecipherable.
